The Messnerwirt is your base camp for each kind of outdoor activities in the nature. In the Antholzertal you still find a piece of original South Tyrol, alps and mountain lakes, the majestic glaciers of the Vedrette di Ries, a net of hiking ways and bike routes.
We supply you with backpack, walking sticks and walking map. Enjoying and experiencing are left to you. We offer a number of proposals and advise for hiking tours in the surrounds.
Start at the Messnerwirt - walk over the bridge to the "Walderhöfe".
There turn right after ca. 20m cross the biotope over the wood bars.
Continue until Oberrasen and turn back along the river to Antholz - Niedertal.

Start from the hotel - mark nr. 6 - until the Pfaffingerhof - Wiesemanhof.
Now you change to the way nr. 11 pass the Eggerhöfen, until the lake Antholz.
Walk around the lake on the interesting nature didactic trail.
Turn back again over the Franzosensteig to the Messnerwirt.

Walk around the Lake Braies, one of the best alpine lakes, called also the “Pearl of the Dolomites”. Don`t miss to visit Prato Piazza – Plätzwiese.

Start from the Furkelpass close to Olang and walk up over a forest road to the ski mountain. Also ideal with the mountainbike.
Walk on the Grenter Alp trail mark nr. 6 from Antholz - Niedertal.
Alternatively - over the forest road - up to the Alp.
Afterwards continue walking behind the Grenter Alp to the Rammelstein.

Start at the Eggerhöfen in Antholz - Mittertal.
Mark nr. 3 up to the Berger and Brennalm. Continue on the secured trail until Gemsbichljoch up to the Rieserfernerhütte.
From there there are different possibilities for alpine tours like: Magerstein, Schneebiger Nock and Schwarze Wand.
